We would like to share with you our experience with Sencha .

  • Besides  “Phendula Tips” Sencha  is our tea of choice . There are many varieties of this finished product - Sencha. Some senchas have a “grassy” aroma , others have sweet flowery  scent .The manufacturing process determines the flavor and aroma of the tea . Sencha tea is as close to the fresh tea leaf as one can get  . It is picked , steamed (to stop natural chemical reaction resulting in oxidation - browning of tea tea leaf ) withered and dried . It is considered to be a health drink . Most Chinese green tea is “pan fired” resulting in a “smoky” flavor which alters the green tea´s taste . One might call this flavoring .
